Back in 2006 I mentioned how anti-anti-Islam is like anti-anti-Communism--an attack on the critics that substitutes for a defense of the indefensible. I explore this in greater detail in my article at American Thinker. I could continue this with an inordinate fear of Islamophobia--Islamophobiaphobia--except that would dignify the anti-concept of Islamophobia. Read my article to see why.

An excellent essay!

But I know that excellence is all that you're capable of, my good friend.

I've commented over at American Thinker.

Another high quality essay. That's an excellent identification namely the way that the Left protected Communism and the way it is protecting Islam. The question is why? Why is the Left protecting a non-Progressive political phenomenon like Islam? Islam is more religiously conservative than modern Christianity yet the Left still treats them as a victim group. What does the Left have to gain?

The only answer I can come up with is that the Left sees an alliance with Islam as instrumental in its attempt to _destroy_ the Right (and especially Christian Conservatism). The most consistent Leftists want to criminalize all non-leftist thought. Framing Islam and Muslims as an oppressed class helps them paint the right as racist Breivers-like fascists. This, they hope, will allow them to silence the Right and thus end any ideological opposition.

That's all I can think of for why the Left runs interference for Islam. The funny thing is that if there were nothing left on earth but Islam and Leftists, the Muslims would turn on the Left and slaughter them. Without Classical Liberals or Conservatives, Leftists and anarchists could NEVER defend themselves against Islam. So the Left is pursuing a suicidal course no matter how you look at it.

Brother Jason

Here is the missing part of the story. When we think of religion we view it through the prism of our own experiences that are not applicable.

The problem with radical Islam is the ends justifies the means. If you believe that your criminality will usher in utopia you can and will do the unthinkable.

Can you provide me to a link to how anarcho capitalism differs from traditional liberterianism. I am baffled by Murray Rothbard and his links to Ron Paul.

Idea? You could dig out some of your archived posts, very erudite material, and post them at IBA. Many of those who read IBA haven't seen that material.
